How the street works
Dirty money is worthless
Rackets pay in dirty cash. It pays your crew and the cops, but you can't build anything with it. Push it through laundromats, restaurants and car washes to make it clean, and the fronts keep a cut.
Heat brings the law
Every racket and every hit makes you hotter. Get noticed and patrols squeeze your income. Get hot and raids take your cash and lock up your crew. Get too hot and a task force takes your blocks.
Real streets, real time
The city is a grid of 200 by 100 metre blocks. Crews on foot walk at 4.8 km/h and cars crawl through traffic, so a hit across town takes the best part of an hour and you can watch it coming.
Families take districts
Join up with other gangs, share what you see, defend each other's blocks and hold whole districts for bigger payouts. Hold City Hall and 60% of the city for a week and the city is yours.
